Summary

Joe Zinghini is a veteran financial executive and strategic advisor with over 30 years of experience spanning Wall Street, global industrials, corporate FP&A, and operational consulting. He brings a rare blend of financial rigor, business acumen, and leadership across sectors including chemicals, advanced manufacturing, energy, semiconductors, life sciences, financial services, and technology.

Before joining Emerytus Advisors, Joe served in senior finance roles at some of the world’s most respected companies. At Praxair, he spent over a decade leading the global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function and serving as Controller for its Global Helium & Rare Gases business. There, he managed internal reporting, budgeting, compliance, capital planning, and strategic finance for one of the company’s critical global divisions.

Joe also served as a sell-side Equity Research Analyst at J.P. Morgan and Schroder Wertheim, covering commodity and specialty chemicals, where he developed deep insight into capital markets, valuation, and investor communication and expectations.

He began his career in procurement and business development with Witco Corporation and Mitsubishi International and followed with roles in corporate development and marketing at Louis Dreyfus where he built expertise in strategic sourcing, petrochemicals, commodity risk management, and financial operations.

As a consultant, Joe has supported finance modernization and transformation efforts at a range of businesses, including Omega Engineering, Materia (an ExxonMobil subsidiary), and Qorvo. His consulting work includes building out internal controls, restructuring credit and collections, driving cross-functional alignment, and implementing data driven decision support across FP&A, operations, and executive leadership teams.

Joe is known for his ability to distill complex financial and operational issues into clear, actionable insights that improve decision-making and organizational alignment. He is a valued partner to CFOs, controllers, and CEOs seeking to professionalize finance, strengthen internal discipline, and unlock enterprise value through smarter financial operations.

He holds an MBA in Finance from Baruch College and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University

Outside the Office

Outside of the office Joe loves the outdoors and is an avid cyclist and gardener. His love of reading eventually led to numerous volunteer roles at the Mark Twain Library in Redding, CT where he lives and he is currently a member of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer for this institution.
