Nelson Lopez-Diaz is an internal audit and risk leader with more than 20 years of global experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, enterprise risk management, governance, and compliance. He helps organizations turn control requirements into practical, sustainable operating disciplines.

Nelson has led complex control and assurance programs in multinational environments, including service as Global Senior Director of Internal Controls and SOX at Fresh Del Monte and leadership roles with Liberty Latin America and Laureate Education. His work emphasizes streamlined SOX programs, stronger audit quality, clearer risk monitoring, and the use of data analytics.

He holds a BBA in Finance and Accounting and is a CPA, Certified Fraud Examiner, and Certified Business Manager. Nelson is fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in Portuguese.
